Upon graduating from The University of Texas in her hometown of Austin, Myra Berry followed her trailblazing sister into hotel sales. Primarily in Dallas, she remained in the hospitality industry for eighteen years, serving major market segments specializing in professional associations, corporate entities, and Media & Entertainment industry clients.

In 2013, Berry was engaged by ConferenceDirect where she put her specialized skills in scouting and sourcing venues, contract negotiation, and meeting management in tandem with event producers to work. In February, 2025, she refocused on her eponymous firm Myra Berry & Associates LLC, to support the phenomenal growth in Media & Entertainment in the fastest growing state in America — Texas.

Myra Berry’s personal and professional life has a throughline of performing arts, media, and entertainment. A favorite aunt introduced her to the Dallas Summer Musicals early in life and later serving on the Board of Directors for the Dallas Summer Musicals was of great significance including putting her professional skills to work in scouting locations, housing, and services for cast and crew as well as organizing cast parties and production-related events. She has many fond memories of working with the Texas Film Commission on scouting trips and will always hold a debt of gratitude to the late Texas Film Commission Director Tom Copeland for sharing his knowledge of development and production that drove significant economic development for cities throughout Texas.
