“We always encourage sustainability and help keep objects out of landfills. We only use what is already available, circulating, and in existence—and we will continue to work this way. Our passion is to work, rework, and recreate while making a difference.”

A San Antonio native, Amanda Alarcón-Hunter has been immersed in the fashion industry for more than 25 years, designing for herself even longer. A multi-passionate entrepreneur, she owns several businesses and continues to design, style, and accessorize clients on a daily basis. From an early age, Amanda’s creative work has centered on empowering the individual through art and design.

Her collaborative spirit has led her to work with fellow artists and designers in planning and executing high-profile runway shows, celebrity photo shoots, events, and philanthropic initiatives. With a deep commitment to both creativity and community, Amanda’s work blends artistry with advocacy.

At the heart of her vision is a dedication to sustainability. As a humanitarian and advocate, she is devoted to bringing slow fashion and eco-conscious goods to the forefront. Amanda has a rare, untamed ability to transform broken, discarded, and unwanted objects into new life—a philosophy she calls Object Vertu, French for “the love of or taste for curious objects d’art.” Her reworked and reclaimed vintage textiles and accessories continue to debut on the runway through her signature production, Untamable: The Sustainable Fashion Show, a philanthropic initiative focused on awareness and change.

Amanda’s wearable art pieces are sought after worldwide by modern fashionistas who value individuality, sustainability, and style. Her business continues to expand as she advocates for greater awareness around slow fashion, proving that artistry and responsibility can go hand in hand.
