Honoring trailblazing women of excellence in the media & entertainment industry
PROPOSING HONOREES & SELECTION CRITERIA
Annually, eligible members of Women in Film & Television Texas have the opportunity to propose potential honorees as part of the selection process, within the defined window, by fully completing the proposing form according to the nomination criteria.
The primary selection criterion is excellence in their field(s) of expertise and body of work relating to the Media & Entertainment industry. Proposed honorees must have been born in the State of Texas, or, performed a significant portion of their work in Texas, or, continue to contribute to the people of the State of Texas through their work. The Celestial Awards™ recognize women who have made an extraordinary impact in the Media & Entertainment industry within the designated award verticals.
The Women in Film & Television Texas board of directors, executive producers, and The Celestial Awards™ executive producing team create slates of proposed Honorees based on eligible member’s proposed honorees and the producing team’s proposed honorees. The slates are then discussed and the honorees are selected by the board of directors of Women in Film & Television Texas.
